We are continuing our work on the New Plymouth School District's Strategic Plan for the next five to ten years. We appreciate all the feedback we have received from our school district stakeholders as we have established focus areas and priorities for the plan. The next step in the process is to establish the specific goals for the plan, which will take place on the dates below.

Public Forum with Elected Officials

This quarter we have invited some of our elected officials to speak in our public forum, which will be on Wednesday, December 7th at 6:00 pm in our NP Elementary School library.

Quarterly Public Forums

This year our school district will be hosting quarterly public forums. These public forums will provide an opportunity for members of our community to ask questions about our school district, share insights, and hear information about our schools. The public forum for the first quarter will be on Wednesday, October 19th at 6:00 pm in the New Plymouth Middle School Library.

Seeking Strategic Planning Committee Members

As our school district continues to work on strategic planning for the next 5-10 years, our school board is seeking input and involvement from our stakeholders. We are looking for people who are interested in serving on our Strategic Planning Committee or on one of its subcommittees. (Click the title for more information)

Change in Spring Break Dates

Spring Break for our current school year will be Monday, March 20 through Thursday, March 23, 2023. (Instead of March 27-30, 2023)

NPSD Enrollment and Attendance Up in 2022-23

Initial enrollment and attendance numbers for the 2022-23 school year show the New Plymouth School District has 90 more students than at the start of last school year. The vast majority of the growth in student enrollment was at New Plymouth Elementary School. (click title to view full article)

New Principal at NPHS

We are pleased to announce that Tammy Mahler will be our principal at New Plymouth High School starting in the 2022-23 school year. We also want to thank all the parents and staff members who helped with our high school principal selection process.

School Lunch Program News

Looking into the new school year 2022-2023 we will have changes to the lunch program.
We will no longer have any waivers under the USDA in place. We will have to start charging for the meals the students receive. We encourage all families to apply for the free and reduced price for school meals by filling out an application for it. Reduced meals are .30 cents for breakfast and .40 cents for lunch. We are approved for a Provision 2 program which provides free breakfast to the elementary and middle school only. Unfortunately the high school was not approved for this program, which means we will charge for breakfast. We are going to be charging $ 2.45 per breakfast and $ 2.55 per lunch for paid status. Please know our goal in the Child Nutrition program is to feed our kids.
