Welcome to New Plymouth School District

Back to School Plans for 2020
7/14/20 - On July 13th, the New Plymouth School Board approved a Leveled School Operations Plan for the 2020-21 school year. The plan outlines three options for how the schools in the district will operate, according to conditions in the community. We appreciate the work that our school district leadership team put into creating this plan, along with the assistance and feedback offered by the Payette County Office of Emergency Management, Southwest District Health, and other school district leaders in our region. Our school district's plan also aligns with the recently-released Idaho Back to School Framework 2020, which was created collaboratively by the Governor's Office, State Board of Education, State Department of Education, and Department of Health and Welfare.

While our local school board approved the Leveled School Operations Plan, they did not yet decide the level at which the schools will be operating when school starts. The school board will meet again in early August to review guidance from Southwest District Health to make that decision. Additional information will be forthcoming to students and their families with specifics, such as which students will be in Group A and Group B in the case of Level 2 operations.

The next regular meeting of the New Plymouth School Board will be Monday, August 10, 2020 at 6:00 pm.
